I loved this 🥹 Honored to have inspired it!! It’s sooo hard actually to write about this stuff (I feel constantly stuck!), so it was such a relief to read your words today ❤️ really excited for you, sending so much love
You have no idea how helpful and inspiring all of your writing has been through this... I've been a quiet lurker for some time but reading your birth story in particular rocked me in the best way. I'm such a fan of your work and so grateful to have parents like you to look up to.
By the time I found you on the internet and read this, you're probably soaking up all that tiny baby smell and feeling all the feels of being a new mom. Congrats!
I think it's a good omen that I found you at a time I'm literally sleeping with a baby onesie under my pillow, praying for one.
Read this while deep in the newborn bubble, feeding at 3am and it made my night (/ day ? no sense of time at the moment haha). Most certainly is a good omen... wishing you so much luck in bringing new life into the world 🥹❤️
As someone who also (recently) experienced getting pregnant before my wedding, this article resonated with me so deeply. There have been so many unexpected joys & graces mixed in with all the challenges this past year. My little one is a few months old now and my life, while very different than I expected it’d be as a newlywed, is truly better because of him.
I love this. Was just talking to my husband about how wild our first months as newlyweds has been. Such a unique and crazy experience but would not have it any other way...
I would LOVE to bump into you in a grocery store right now and say a loud congrats! Cheers to all the sweet funny nuggets you’ll experience after this cutie enters the world 🤗💖
I should have read this first before commenting on your note, but all the same, Twilight Zone is the perfect way to describe where you are right now. Just remember that the first few months are like boot camp before you get the hang of daily parenting. Once they start smiling and laughing, nothing else matters. Enjoy the ride!
What a beautifully and comedically written piece! Oh girl, you literally told a story that I am way familiar with. I think some of the challenge of getting pregnant outside of "what you expect" or "how the timeline should go" is that it doesn't fit the story you have told yourself! I found out I was pregnant on Valentine's Day 2005 after only knowing my partner for a short time and it rocked my world. But by the time I gave birth to my tiny miracle, I knew it was meant to be. You are going to be an outstanding mother and partner, and I am so excited for this next stage for you. Best of luck in Florida and here's to a beautiful little baby! XO
AHH DEENA!! I can't explain how amazing it is to hear from you. What a gift to share this experience with you... and what a miracle it is!! Hope I can raise a hilarious brilliant baby like yours. Love and miss you so much 🥹

There she is!! Awesome piece, reflected many of my own experiences and gave me a disapproving look for not having written my own yet.
So excited to see what happens next
